Corrections Policy
Report an Error
If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, we want to know. To help us evaluate the issue efficiently, please provide:
- The URL of the page containing the disputed information.
- The specific statement or data point you believe is incorrect.
- The strongest source you have that supports the correction (a government database link, an official document, a peer-reviewed publication, or other primary evidence).
Send correction requests through our Connect page. Include "Correction request" in your message so the inquiry is routed appropriately.
How Corrections Are Handled
Material factual corrections are evaluated against primary evidence following the standards described on our Editorial Standards and Source & Verification Methodology pages.
When a correction is supported by stronger evidence than the original claim, the content is updated. The nature of corrections depends on the type and severity of the error:
- Minor factual corrections: The text is updated directly. Examples include corrected phone numbers, updated addresses, fixed dates, or typographical errors in proper names.
- Substantive corrections: The text is updated and the correction is noted on the page, including the date of the change and a brief description of what was corrected and why.
- Disputed claims under review: If a correction request raises a material concern that cannot be immediately resolved, the content may be annotated with a notice or temporarily quarantined until the matter is resolved.
Corrections are not guaranteed to be made immediately. Review depends on the availability of primary evidence and the severity of the issue. Safety-related errors and legal inaccuracies are prioritized.
What We Do Not Do
- No charge to correct errors. Wholly Water Farms does not charge individuals or businesses to fix factual mistakes. Accuracy is an editorial obligation, not a revenue opportunity.
- No promotional language required. Corrections and listings are evaluated on factual merit. We do not require favorable language, endorsements, or advertising relationships as a condition of maintaining an accurate record.
- No removal of accurate information on request. If information is factually correct and sourced to a credible public record, we will not remove it solely because it is unfavorable to a listed party. We will correct factual errors promptly.
All correction requests are welcome. Contact us through our Connect page.
